The team have a reputation for not only the highest quality of work and professionalism but also for going to high extremes to satisfy client's requirements. There is no job too big, too small or too hard.
The first step in the installation process is to prepare a solid foundation on which to place your rainwater tank. This is done by excavating the area until level, and preparing either a concrete, or compacted metal dust base. This is one of the most important steps in the installation process, as a good quality, level base will ensure your tank stays put for many years to come.
Once the tank is placed on the base, the next step is to connect the downpipes. The number of downpipes re-directed to the rainwater tank is dependent on the tank capacity, although it's always best to connect more rather than less to make the best use of your ability to capture and store this precious, natural resource.
There are also various filtration options available at this stage to ensure only the best quality water enters into your tank. These will be discussed with you during your obligation free quote. After the downpipes are connected in, the tank overflow is then connected back into the stormwater system according to council requirements.
The third and last step in the process is getting the water out of your tank to wherever you choose to use it. There are two main methods of doing this, although there are many variations within these two methods.
The two main methods are:
Gravity feed system and Pressure pump system
Gravity feed system is only suitable for watering gardens in general, unless the tank is located with sufficient vertical height above the fixtures being serviced (i.e. at least 20 metres vertically would be recommended for suitable pressures)
A pressure pump system is exactly as it sounds. A pressure pump is selected to suit the amount of pressure and flow needed for each task, and installed adjacent to the tank wherever possible. It is also necessary to install a pump cover with your pump to protect it from the elements.
After the pump is positioned, pipe work is run to all the fixtures being serviced by the rainwater tank. If the rainwater tank runs low, there are a few options available to ensure that your plumbing fixtures never go without water. These options will be discussed during your obligation free quote.
Finally, the installation is tested for operation, and appropriate signage is placed where necessary.
You are now able to see the sustainable benefits of using rainwater within your household! Enjoy!
